Cafe 63’s Shearer’s classic: Bacon, liver, poached eggs, Hollandaise sauce, toast, gravy, onion rings, and a potato rosti.
My last breakfast in Brisbane. I was alone and thought some offal would be good. I knew that Cafe 63 in Westfield Chermside would not disappoint me.
I think this bowl of food had five slices of lamb’s fry. Even for me, that’s a bit too much. It’s a rare situation when a little bit is good and more is not better. Beggars can’t be choosers through, so I ate the liver, bacon, potato rosti, onion rings and Hollandaise sauce covered poached eggs. I left the toast.
The potato rosti at the bottom formed a soggy bottom of gravy, egg yolk, and Hollandaise sauce.
If you like a bit of liver, Cafe 63 will not disappoint you.
