Simple surf’n’turf


It’s Anzac day. I did my grocery shopping in the afternoon and spied some steak and prawns and thought “I’ll have that for dinner”.

Ingredients

  • Steak
  • Prawns
  • Coleslaw
  • Coleslaw dressing
  • Butter
  • Iodised salt
  • Black peppercorns

Instructions

  • Season the steak with salt and put it into an oven set to 40 °C for about 30 minutes.
  • Quickly pan-fry the steak in a frying pan with butter.
  • Pan-fry the prawns in the leftover butter used to cook the steak.
  • Pour the burnt butter over the steak and prawns.
  • Serve with coleslaw.
