Footy food for game 2

Tonight is game 2 in this year’s State of Origin series.

The Queensland Maroons defeated the NSW Blues in game 1. That night I enjoyed lamb chops. Tonight I’m having steak.

I’m hoping for another Queensland victory.

Footy food is important.

For lunch I had leftover pulled ham hock and speck with some freshly shaved parmesan.

For dinner I put a small piece of scotch fillet steak into a water bath for 2 hours at 57 °C.

I seared the steak in a hot frypan with a little beef fat.

Sadly, NSW defeated Queensland. The deciding third game will be played at Lang Park in Brisbane in three weeks.
