If you read my other food blog, viz., YummyLummy.com you’ll know that I’ve been participating in the CSIRO Total Wellbeing Diet (TWD).
I’ve now finished the twelve week program and I’ve lost about 7 kilograms. I’m pretty happy with this outcome, but I wonder if I can lose more weight.
In the program when you’re setting up the app for the guidance on a goal weight, it asks about ethnic origin. If I say Chinese, the goal weight is 65 kg. If I say European, the goal weight is 71 kg. I think the last time I was 65 kg was when I was in high school in the 1970s. Given I have an Irish great grandmother, I chose European, mainly because a common description people have used for me is “stocky”.
I’m not going to try hard to lose more weight, my aim is to stay within the 68 to 69 kg band, but if I do continue to lose weight, I don’t think I’ll complain.
